Host a Screening
Help Perfect THE 100TH
Organizations with adequate projection environments and memberships large enough fill a venue are are invited to host free no-charge test screenings of THE 100TH, Seeds of Aloha to help perfect the film through audience feedback, either live or through an online form. Test screenings include Q&A sessions with the filmmakers directly following screenings.
Live Soundtrack Music Option
THE 100TH, Seeds of Aloha features 18 original songs by music directors Harold Payne and David Kopatz who are open to performing live songs as a warm up for screenings.
“History Harvest” Option
If your location has ties to the 100th/442nd story, consider adding a pre-screening event where the public shares memorabilia in an Antiques Roadshow–style showcase. Content from such shareings may get included in the final cut of the film.
Event Guidelines
Key considerations for planning a 100TH Film Screening and History Harvest event:
-
- Target at least 50 viewers. Most schools, community rooms and other gathering spaces accommodate 50 or more viewers.
- No-Charge Requirement. Test screening cannot be charged for. This preserved our premiere rights for film festivals.
- No “Premiere” Titled Events. These are legitimate test screenings in which we seek viewer comments on historical representations and entertainment value. Viewers may give comments orally during Q&As or via an online survey.
- Fundraising for Related Events Allowed. While fees may not be charged for the film screening, presenters are allowed to fundraise via separate offerings like food and beverage, silent auctions, etc.
- Presenters control their own guest list. An RSVP system, either manual or electronic like Eventbrite.com is suggested to not exceed room capacity.
- Customized Flyer Designs. We will provide and edit a customized flyer design in social media post and email promotion formats. You may provide your organization logo to be included.
- Projection & Sound by Presenter. Most schools, community centers have built-in projection equipment. Outdoor inflatable projection equipment and screens are also amazingly affordable, typically a few hundred dollars per event. Mics and PA are also helpful, especially for the discussion segment. These are all the presenterʻs responsibility to provide including playback laptop if needed.
- AV Connections. We hand-carry in the film on jump drive with output options including USB and HDMI options.
- Apply to Present the film by viewing our Events Calendar to find dates/times that don’t conflict with other screenings, then complete the form below.
